Yes, I agree, your version is the best. Kupujte v Evropě 😊
Czech: Koupit evropsky (Koupit evropsky)
I don’t think that’s quite right. This means more like “buy (how?) european (style)” While we want to rather say "buy (what?) european (product), right? Because if it’s the “how” well you can buy like european but that doesn’t mean you buy european products. So I would translate it like Kupovat evropské (produkty)
Man, I am disappointed. I go to the website and it took me ages to find pricing. I had to go to menu > about and only then there is new menu item “membership” where I could see the price. I hate such dark patterns, if they cared they would not hide the price (and I don’t even think its unreasonable price, why hide it…)
Does it matter? If they start doing something bad, you just switch distro.
Same as not every American is bad, not every American product is bad. This one is free and open source, so its ok. And its competition to Microsoft.
yes! 😀
Best nvidia support!
The penguin at the top, that’s the tarifed penguin 😀 The penguin on the bottom is freeeeeeeee
Brave browser is American btw. (not swiss). Also it is weird if in “European alternatives” you have e.g. only Asian companies as alternative for Asus (Taiwan). Also also Proton is Swiss, not sure why you have it listed like its American (showing alternatives).
I recently stumbled on this: https://www.unawatch.com/ I am quite curious how it turns out, but if they manage I would be pretty compelled to try. Its Scottish btw.
It would be so cool if that was possible with the new ones too.
You know what, I think I had HAMA once, and it was unable to charge anything…
Is it possible to use Polar completely offline? I mean with Garmin, the Connect app must be connected to internet in order to serve the data and stuff. I tried Gadgetbridge, but the notifications just do not work well.
I would like smartwatch that doesn’t need cloud. I want to keep my data on my hardware and display them with software of my choice.
Hot take: keep proton pass, if there is nothing comparable, and use alternatives for everything else.
I see, thank you :)
I think they started that journey long time ago when they started using open street maps for the rest of the world. I think they have the best styling of the maps. That said I am using Organic Maps, because they are open source. But many friends of mine, that are not from Czech republic already use mapy.cz for quite some time :)
I tried both. Mullvad is a little bit better on Linux and a little bit worse for streaming services from my original country. What I wish for is that the Tailscale integration with mullvad would be possible to pay with crypto (right now you have to pay through tailscale with credit card). If that happens I switch again :)
Leave them be, haters gonna hate. I am afraid its the attention they get that encourages them…
There is an expression in my language for people like you “coffee grinder” - because they go round and round talking about the same thing. If you were at least correct… Saying that one party did one thing right doesn’t mean supporting that party blindly or fully. You know, normal people CAN see or say positive things even about people they don’t like, that’s called objectivity. Doesn’t mean they like them, support them, vote for them or anything else. I agree that maybe even the one opinion should not have been made by the company official channel, but its much more okay than people like you, who spread hate and toxicity (much like the republicans that you so much hate…)
You are welcome. 😀
The reason why I wrote how to get there not what is there is that my prices are in CZK I have no idea if they have it priced same only based on exchange rate or based on economic strength of local currencies…
