When I was a kid in the 80s this sort of business model was common with TVs and video recorders, then with early PCs. The machines were too expensive for many people to buy, so they’d rent instead. Cheaper consumer electronics killed this off, but as living standards get tighter maybe we’ll start seeing rentals becoming a thing again.

Yeah, that seems obvious to me too. I’ve got no clue how the symbols are supposed to represent the letters though. I’ve a friend who has similar symbols on her fingers and they don’t stand for anything, they just look cool.

Yeah don’t give me too much applause - I will still have an occasional pipe of crack, maybe once every couple of months. Because I fuckin like it and that’s that. I’m getting too old for that shit though -my smart watch gives me an unusual heartbeat warning when I do stimulants. I also still drink too much, I still smoke cigarettes and the occasional joint, I still have a shitty diet. These are things I need to change. But yeah, I don’t do smack anymore. It was part of my life for many wasted years. It took me way too long to finally quit. But I did it. . . and so can you. Probably better than me. The rest of my stuff is a work in progress - though I am finding I feel better the next day if I go to sleep sober.

I don’t wanna give you advice because we all different people with different shit. What worked for me might not be right for you. And I’m no fuckin guru! I’d just say pick a date and stick to it. Don’t beat yourself up about relapses, just get back on that wagon and keep going. And get whatever medical and social support you can. All the best mate

I like to see good animal or bird life in games, really ups the immersion for me if it’s gotta good algorithm. Do they react if you kick em? An I think ppl have enjoyed looking after animals in computer games as long as there’s been computer games. I remember these tamagotchi things in the 80s or 90s, little LCD screens with some sorta animal you had to look after by pressing a tiny button.

Yeah, agreed. No guarantees that they’ll pay a wage you can survive on though, or that they won’t cut corners on worker safety etc. There were lots of jobs during the industrial revolution but most were profoundly shit to the point they’d shorten workers’ lives.
