Devadanderto HistoryPorn•Antarctic explorer leaning into a 100 mph wind as he carves up ice, between 1911-1914English3·15 days agoThere is absolutely a burden on the content consumer to get their content. This is not absolving the poster from sourcing their material. I am not and have not discussed that. But you are absolute correct. It is difficult to unspread misinformation. That’s why I’m calling out the comment that IS spreading misinformation. Not OP, who posted a truthful picture and caption.
But you gotta find it rather ironic that the commenter decrying a post truth world is also the one spreading falsehoods about the pic? They’re being exactly what they’re crying about. They are the ones spreading lies about the picture. And then you get the armchair internet experts like the follow up comment ‘they’re not dressed warm enough I call bs’. It’s hilarious. And yet those ‘skeptics’ don’t see their contribution to the problem

Ok so you’re mixing up a couple things. No, the original theatrical version did not have the scene at all. But it was filmed with Ford, just left on the editing floor. They took that footage and did mediocre cgi to add in the too-small jabba for the special editions
