  • You’ve never had infants around other infants.

We all have the same child. They all act the same behavior is the same… Patterns are the same Etc…

Humans don’t really start to develop in different directions and speed until they are like 18 months old.

Our coloring and physical features might not be the same… but the basic operating system and internals are all the same across humanity.

  • Man… I got banned from a kink community sub because I edited my comment with a automagical editor…

It replaced my text with gobbledygook and then was going to delete it…

The mod came across the text said something to the extent of “this makes no sense” and banned me under their “because we can” rule.

I sent the mod a message with links and an explanation… he came back with your original post is gone. So you are too.

My reddit account is 14 years old…

It bothered me for a while too… and still dones I guess since I’m here talking about it… but honestly mods are gonna mod… they are small people with a smidge of “power” you could have said hope “you folks have a great day!!” And gotten banned.

    It happens. Sucks tho

  • Autism was always around. Someone once said that everyone had that uncle that was really REALLY into collecting trains and displaying them.

Since I heard that back in the day… I just accepted that there’s nothing new under the sun and all these trigger points for folks today have just always been around. We just have a 24 hour news cycle now.

  • If it provides me information I need… I’ll thank the poster.

I’ve commented a thank you a literal decade after the helpful comment was made.

When I was on reddit… If the thread was archived, I’d copy the link and send the person a message saying thanks. If it was very helpful.

I don’t have a problem with it obviously. Back in the day being a thread necromancer was frowned upon. Now, it doesn’t bump the thread to the top of the forum, so who cares

  • For ages I ran two SSDs.

One had Linux one had windows.

The reason is windows like to over write the bootloader when it updates (or did)

So for me… I had the Linux SSD as the primary boot device and I had to select the windows device in grub to boot windows.

It worked for ages and ages until I realized I wasn’t using windows anymore.

    Edit: I ran a 1060 Nvidia on Ubuntu / Manjaro / arch / Debian

I never had an issue. Tho I use kde because waaaaay back in the day it was the only DE that wouldn’t screen tear.

Edit 2: I wouldn’t move your windows drive… just add a second one
