Tests and diagnoses are pieces of information that add to a holistic understanding of a person. More information is always preferred. It allows you to frame your thinking more effectively. If possible for you, I would definitely go ahead.
I’m using the apps: both Drive and Photos, at least. Works very well for me. For backup, I do a physical backup daily to an attached external hard drive, and weekly to a remote cloud option
It might not solve all your needs, or your use case specifically, but I’ve got myself a Synology NAS and that has been a solid alternative to Google Photos for me.

2toneOPMtoTeaching•Are teachers expendable? "Why AI Won’t Be Replacing Teachers Anytime Soon"English1·2 years agoDefinitely! Change will be slow and people adapt. People also require a tremendous amount of human engagement
2toneOPMtoTeaching•Are teachers expendable? "Why AI Won’t Be Replacing Teachers Anytime Soon"English1·2 years agoDefinitely agree here. At first, I was extremely fearful of it, but now that I’m using it regularly, it’s become clear how useful it is as a tool, and not threatening as a replacement. At least not right away with existing structures as they are

This would be perfect for you, then. Retroid is a solid brand and they’ve dome well with this device. The RG405M is another excellent choice
