Somebody on here I think got this right. They’re making excuses because dude’s already dead.
The Onion needs to try harder. I remember a time when their headlines were obviously fake. The best they can do now is headlines that are slightly unlikely.
I would have gone with, “Salvadoran President States Finders Are Keepers, Refuses to Return Wrongly Deported Man.”
